Live Basketball Data Scorer

Sport Grader LLC collects real-time, in-stadium sports data. We are hiring a Des Moines-area independent contractor to attend Drake Bulldogs, Iowa State Cyclones and Iowa Hawkeyes games and log key plays the instant they happen using our iPhone app.

Paid trial game: Sunday, November 15, at Casey's Center in Des Moines (Iowa vs Creighton). We buy your ticket, you work the game, and you are paid $200 afterward. Do well and you are offered an ongoing spot for the rest of this season if you continue to perform well at data collection speed and accuracy.

What you will do

• Attend the game from your seat and watch every possession
• Tap the app the moment each play or scoring event occurs; speed and accuracy both matter

Pay

• $200 flat per game (covers travel and parking); tickets are covered
• Paid weekly on Wednesdays by direct deposit

Requirements

• Available to work the paid trial game on Sunday, November 15, at Casey's Center in Des Moines (Iowa vs Creighton); please only apply if you can make it
• iPhone 14 or newer
• Deep knowledge of basketball rules (you should be able to explain an and-one or a shooting foul without looking it up)
• Fast reaction time; people who play fast-paced video games tend to do well
• Live in the Des Moines area and able to attend a high share of home games this season
• Reliable and punctual; this is a 1099 independent contractor role

How to apply

Use the Apply button to fill out the short application (no resume needed) and take the 5-minute reaction-time test that mirrors the job. We will reach out to strong applicants about 48 hours before the game with a ticket, instructions on how to download the app, and additional details.
